This is our 2nd house project with Clifton. We couldn’t be happier with the final outcome of our home. When we first bought the house, it was so run down, Clifton and his team turned it into a warm and modern home for us. We love working with their team. They make rennovation fun and worry free.

The designer came up with a very innovative design which transformed an ordinary apartment into an ultra sleek yet comfortable and functional living space. We especially like the "peeping hole" design in the kitchen door, which is a fun feature. Other unique design feature included a full equipped kitchen with build in dishwasher, a large hidden storage closet and sound proofed master bedroom. They were attentive to details and we were happy with the work.

I’m happy to be one of the clients of CLDW for my old apartment. CLDW’s team provided 'all in' and professional services that could let me escape from many hard decisions. Some innovative and energy saving ideas for the design of storage, lighting, kitchen cabinet and extraordinary bathroom are really impressive to us. Their design can let me feel relax and calm from the airy space to visual mix. My family and I enjoyed the whole renovation journey. After a year, we still have feeling to live in a new home including my cat….

Amazing design and after sales service in Hong Kong. Truly understand their customers. I wanted something more than just the standard Hong Kong cookie cutter design. Clifton Leung personally came over and challenged my own limitations and thinking by creating a customised interior design that transformed the space into a one of a kind home. My home has been featured in various media as an example of what can be done with limited space and within the desired budget. But that was only one part. In a city marked by fly by night companies and a transient worker force Clifton Leung has stood out in this area providing amazing prompt and economical after sale services. The place has held up remarkably well in the time I’ve taken it over and when I’ve requested repairs or work done the team responds quickly and economically and professionally. I wouldn’t work or recommend anyone else and have done so whenever I can.

The design of CLDW is phenomenal, executed with fine workmanship. I experienced the professionalism in the team, right from the very beginning in the first meeting with their Managing Director, valuable advice from the designer throughout, to the smooth handover of my apartment. The project team had been extremely helpful as well. They had attended to every detail and turned my apartment into a sweet home. I highly recommend CLDW to homeowners who want hassle free and professional design and build services.

“The majority of retail space designs is often somewhat stereotyped. This is particularly true in the case of telecommunication industry retail stores in Hong Kong, where driving sales is more important than creating a memorable customer experience. During the process of the brand revamp for 1O1O and one2free in terms of customer experience, we were fortunate to have the benefit of Clifton Leung’s unique and detail-minded design. Within a short period of 3 months, we launched 4 new flagship and concept stores. It is not an easy task to create a totally different image for a deep-rooted brand and it is even more challenging to create two distinct shop images for two brands which have completely different target customers. Clifton Leung’s revolutionary design has received an overwhelming market response in the arena of retail space design.”

“Having used a number of interior designers before with our previous flats, we knew exactly what we wanted and needed from our designers. We did a lot of research this time on who we wanted to work with and when we came across CLDW, we really liked their style and aesthetics. Another reason we chose CLDW was because both my husband and I were poor on time: I was 6 months pregnant and looking after our 15-month old toddler full-time. So we needed someone like Clifton to pretty much do everything for us. It was a totally low-maintenance experience for us and we did not have to micro-manage Clifton or his staff to get the job done. We have been in our apartment for over a year now and are extremely happy with the result.”

This 2,000 sq ft, four-bedroom Sai Kung town house is bright, fresh and streamlined. We have transformed the dated interior into a contemporary family home by changing the layout and reassigning the rooms. The large kitchen-diner is the heart of the home. The main kitchen is focused around a large island, kitted out with a breakfast bar, wine fridge, drawers and USB sockets and phone-charging area. Adding interest to the cool palette is an accent area of wooden open shelving, repeated in the wooden wine rack at the end of the island. The living room features furniture from Morrisofa, Indigo Living and Establo.
6 WAYS TO MAKE SMALL SPACES LOOK BIGGER
There is never going to be enough storage in the average Hong Kong home. EVERY INCHES COUNTS! Here are a few useful tricks in conjuring storage when interior space is tight.
1/ Sliding Fun! Originally a two-bedroom-apartment, Clifton opened up this 452 sq. ft. space using sliding doors. Pushed fully opened, the apartment becomes one open-plan room. When increased privacy desired, sliding the panels of the wall back into place creates a clear division between communal and private spaces.

2/ Elevate your home! Wardrobes are a luxury for most Hong Kong homes and, even when they do exist, are usually barely adequate. In this bachelor pad in Vantage Park, Mid-levels, Clifton effectively doubled the space of the small walk-in closet by utilizing the floor. The custom-designed series of three deep steps with lift-up plywood lids provides handy storage for shoes, bags and out-of-season clothes, while also giving access to the high, hard-to-reach shelving at the back of the closet.

3/ Maximum Space Flexibility! The dining area of this apartment in Lechler Court is narrow, that made Clifton come up with the idea to build an alcove into a cabinet to accommodate a full size dining table. A portion of the table slides into the alcove to save space when not in use.

4/ Indoor Skylight! In this apartment in Baguio Villa, the spacious and modern open kitchen is one of the major highlights. Huge windows bring abundant natural light and fresh air into the house. The ceiling skylight design creates an illusionary extension of the natural lighting, offering an inviting space with positive vibes to chit chat with friends and family members.

5/ Making the Most! Most apartments have awkward corners and odd spaces that are difficult to use. In this apartment in Baguio Villa, Clifton has created a storeroom behind the TV wall of the living room to maximize space.
https://www.cliftonleungdesignworkshop.com/project-residential/baguio-villa-3/

6/ Furniture on Wheels! Furniture on wheels can be pushed out of the way when not in use, as a result creating more space when needed. Built according to the highest Aerospace Standards of Boeing and Airbus, this ultra-lightweight 10.5 kg European-Crafted trolley designed by Clifton demonstrates mobility and versatility at its best. It minimizes clutter and maximizes storage space as a shelve stack with adjustable trays or cabinets.

Family Home | Shanghai Daily | Feb 2018
The client envisioned a family home in Hong Kong that is modern, cozy and functional. A warm and welcoming space as the couple loves to entertain. When Clifton first saw the flat, he thought the special part of it was the depth and airiness of the living room. It had potential for spatial planning, but also presented a challenge of where to place the TV due to the viewing distance. Instead of the traditional way of placing the TV on the wall, the designers created an audio and visual counter in the middle of the living room, with a housing box on the ceiling to hide a projector screen which is only pulled down when in use. A pair of wooden screens featuring decorative squares was designed to subdivide the living and dining area into separate, but interconnected areas. The spatial planning of the living room is welcoming to the point that everything is kept at a low level for a more open and unobstructed view of the greenery outside, something rather rarely seen in densely populated Hong Kong. Overall, the flat features lots of built-in furniture and shelves to make the most of the space. Not to waste every inch, even the “tree house” has lots of storage space. The result is an interior that is pared down and easy for the family to live in yet conveys an understated elegance.

In the Dragon Lake House, the land, layout and luxury accoutrements are as one. The spaciousness and the apt use of natural light that characterise the courtyard are motifs that are revisited throughout the home. The living room, for instance, spans two storeys vertically, bestowing upon it a singularly high ceiling and an accompanying sense of freedom. Another aspect of the Dragon Lake House to be cherished is the fetching aplomb with which it blends the very best of the East and the West. Its enchanting Chinese tea room, Chinese kitchen and Southeast Asian-style guest room are all masterfully counterpointed by corresponding Occidental touches, most notably in the distinctly Westernstyle second kitchen and guest room, and the fine array of Italianate furniture and fittings, such as dining chairs from Poliform, pendent lamp form Baccarat and audio equipment from B&O.

Having worked with the family before, we knew exactly what they wanted. They like light colors, modern and clean lines. They also wanted well-structured storage to avoid clutter. The major change was the layout - instead of a typical Hong Kong flat layout, we changed it to make a dynamic open space. The previous home was an open-concept studio flat. To keep the same concept, we created an open living/ dining / kitchen space with the island at the center connecting the space. It is an island where the whole family can eat, cook and chat together - a large integrated space that the family members can see each other and what is happening even when cooking.

The eye catching phrase "Minimalism to Maximization" first caught my attention in POST magazine and the completed work truly lives up to the motto of the company. Clifton Leung Design Workshop has created unlimited storage space within the limited area of my apartment which the final works met and exceeded my initial requirements for maximum storage. The highlight of the design in my apartment was an unexpected creation of a walk-in closet within an approximate 200 sq feet bedroom. I am currently into the 6th month in my new apartment and I still have plenty of storage space available to spare! Pricing and follow-up on project development was structured and my requested timeline for completion has been met in a timely manner.

Clifton transformed this 503-sq ft small but mighty apartment into a cosy, neat home. In terms of the layout, Clifton transformed the kitchen into an open one and making the corridor narrower so the living room becomes more spacious. Lighting played an important role in enlarging the apartment visually. An artificial skylight is created in the kitchen while a light trough using indirect lighting is chosen for the bedroom. The modern apartment features Stone Pendent from Tom Dixon, Table to Go coffee table from Design Letters, Turn On Table Lamp and DLM Side Table from Hay, Block Table Cart from Normann Copenhagen, Chair 14 from Ton.

“We partnered with Clifton Leung to bring to life our 1010 brand vision, engaging global lifestyle seekers in our retail stores. From the first meeting, Clifton got inside the brand personality and our retail vision, redefining the traditional “mobile phone shop” and shifting the focus to create a luxurious members’ club experience for customers. Clifton’s design process ensured a unique and creative concept ‘the grand voyage’, balanced with the commercial awareness of delivering what the retail space is designed to do, which is to encourage consumer spending. The design made me positively nervous, as it pushed the boundaries for the category and made us think about the overall vision. The result – Clifton’s designs are striking and emotional, playing a critical role in redefining the 1010 brand experience.”

Interior design showcasing the beauties in the old SCHSA Headquarters wins Japan’s Good Design Award 2018
Entering the sixth year of operation, we joyfully announced that the interior design of SCHSA Jockey Club Oi Man Centre, the headquarters of SCHSA, awarded the Good Design Award 2018 of Japan.
